shop update!
wow, i've neglected this journal for so long! two years?
anyhow. i've added a few things to my shop lately... a few tshirts that i want to get rid of (50% proceeds go to wildlife rescue association), and this set of ZOOLOGICAL ALPHABET MAGNETS. ooooh! i love them...

next up, DINO MAGS!!! they're the best. they're almost done, i just have to add some supportive magnet to the back, but they're going to look fabulous!

purple and green stripey scarf
it may or may not look blue in the picture (i have no idea how to do colour corrections), but in real life, it is a lovely lavender and army green combo. i ran out of the lavender yarn, so i added extra long sections of green on each end. a happy accident, if you ask me!

hand-bound journal/sketchbook
perhaps you've seen my record bookends... now you're asking yourself, "what did she do with the covers?" throw them away? nonsense! i made them into journals, of course.
these journals are completely handmade. i cut, glue, fold, punch holes [smashing my thumb many a time], and sew these suckers together. each features a lovely cover with grommits, 100 blank pages, and are threaded together using the coptic stitch, which enables you to open the book completely flat without any wreckage of the spine.
so far there are two versions, the vintage record cover [in which i take a particularily eye-catching cover and simply cut it out], and the decidedly more artistic cover [in which i take an ugly cover and wrap it in pretty paper]. i plan on making another size that is square and maybe a little thicker.
i use journals for everything-- writing screenplays, making lists, jotting notes [meetings, phone numbers, addresses], sketching, scrapbooking-- the possibilities are endless....

the blue period: $15 each. these journals are covered brown craft paper, then decorated with a gorgeous sheet of origami paper [it has a great texture and almost feels like fabric]. inside cover is lined with a complimentary shade of blue.

"concert for lovers" $12. front and back.

*i assure you, these journals have straight edges-- my camera does this weird fish-eye thing that make them look round =\
